Anita is a seasoned lawyer with expertise in Corporate and Commercial Law, Litigation, Real Estate, Labour Law, and Company Secretaryship.
Anita has over twelve years of experience in private legal practice and the petroleum downstream sector. She has provided legal advice on local laws and regulatory requirements to indigenous and international corporations as well as individual clients.
Before joining Engen Ghana Ltd, she was the Legal and Human Resources Manager for Tel Energy Ltd. She managed the legal aspects of the company’s operations, including regulatory compliance, advised on contracts & transactions, and served as the company secretary. Anita diligently steered the human resource division of the company, leading its people & performance management, training & development, which led to increased productivity, efficiency, and an optimum employee experience.
Foundation in Legal Practice & Governance
In her previous roles in private legal practice, Anita worked with two law firms, Minkah-Premo & Co. and Mercer & Co., where she garnered extensive experience in litigation, corporate and commercial transactions, family law, and dispute resolution. She also has a wealth of experience in legal due diligence, corporate governance, and property law.
Academic Credentials & Professional Affiliations
Anita holds a Qualifying Certificate in Law from the Ghana School of Law and an LLB degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration, UK, Ghana Chapter.
