Finance Manager
Matthew Korankye is a seasoned finance professional with over 10 years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial management, and taxation. He currently serves as the Finance Manager of MISA Energy Ghana Ltd., having been a key member of the company’s leadership through its transition from Engen Ghana Ltd.
Prior to his current role, Matthew held positions as Deputy Finance Manager and Senior Accountant, where he played a key role in leading critical finance operations. His responsibilities included financial reporting, general ledger management, cash flow planning, budget preparation, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
Audit & Sectoral Expertise
Before joining Engen, he worked with Crowe Veritas, where he rose to the role of Audit Supervisor. There, he led audit assignments across multiple sectors, including oil and gas, shipping, manufacturing, and NGOs. His work contributed to improved audit quality, strengthened internal controls, and enhanced financial efficiency. He began his career with the Ghana Audit Service, gaining solid experience in public sector accounting and regulatory compliance.
Academic Credentials & Professional Recognition
Matthew is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG). He holds a master’s degree in accounting & finance from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and was recognized as the Overall Best Student in Taxation (ICAG Level II) in 2012.
